As its name suggests, the MixPre-10T features a built-in, ultra-high accuracy timecode generator and reader. Even when turned off or all power is removed, the MixPre-10T continues to hold accurate timecode for hours, more than long enough even for the most extended lunch break (or break in production)!
With its BNC, Aux, and HDMI timecode connections, all common frame rates and timecode modes are supported as well as the ability to lock to or output word clock, ideal for synchronization in any digital audio environment.

Flexible Powering
For the ultimate in portability and convenience, the MixPre-10T has multiple powering options. The MixPre-10T features locking 4-pin Hirose connector (10-18V) for either external battery powering or AC-powering (with optional AC adapter).
Like the MixPre-3 & MixPre-6, the MixPre-10T can also be powered from AA batteries in a convenient detachable sled of eight cells, or via an optional sled that offers powering from up to two hot-swappable Sony L-Mount Li-Ion batteries.

Versatile I/O Routing
The MixPre-10T offers eight XLR/TRS combo Mic/Line level inputs, and a 3.5mm Aux/Mic input, which can also be used for 2-channel line input, camera return or timecode.
The MixPre-10T also provides comprehensive routing flexibility with its two TA3 balanced outputs and a 3.5mm Stereo output, each with routing matrix.

Sound Devices 688

The 688 is a production sound engineer’s dream come true - a portable audio powerhouse that incorporates multi-channel mixer, auto-mixer, recorder plus optional SL-6 integrated powering and wireless system. By consolidating these functions, cabling requirements are significantly decreased, de-cluttering the sound mixer’s bag, increasing reliability and improving ease of use. The 688 takes the finest aspects of the acclaimed 633, 664, and 788T and creatively combines them with new technology into an unrivalled production audio tool.
The 688’s powerful digital processing engine delivers 12-channel auto-mixing capability using the most sophisticated algorithm on the market today. MixAssist automatically attenuates the level of inputs that are not active and helps maintain consistent background sound levels regardless of the number of open microphones. Comb filtering and phasing artifacts are also reduced when multiple mics pick up the same sound source by inteligently attenuating redundant mics.
The 688 offers 16-track, polyphonic or monophonic broadcast WAV file recording to SD and CompactFlash cards. All common sampling rates are supported, including 192 kHz on up to six tracks. The memory cards can be set independently, recording either identical material for real-time backup, or combinations of WAV and MP3 files.

SL-6

For a virtually cable free bag, attach this optional power distribution and six channel wireless system. Its three slots provide powering and audio interconnection between the 688 and slot-in receivers plus fully integrated control and monitoring of SuperSlot™ compatible receivers. With its built-in RF signal distribution, the SL-6 reduces the need for multiple antenna while its NP1 battery slot, USB charging port, two 12 V isolated outputs, and two non-isolated direct battery outputs provide powering for peripheral devices. The 788T: Portable, Eight Input, Twelve-Track Recorder with Time Code

The 788T: Portable, Eight Input, Twelve-Track Recorder with Time Code
The 788T and 788T-SSD are the right choice for demanding production sound applications. The 788T, with its eight inputs, is perfect for high track count applications ranging from over-the-shoulder reality-style production to cart-based drama production.
788T I/O
Inputs and Outputs
The 788T features eight high bandwidth, ultra-low noise microphone preamplifiers. Inputs feature input limiters, input delay, and selectable high-pass filters. The 788T also accept analog line level or AES digital signals.
Six analog and six digital outputs are available on multiple connector types, including TA3, multi-pin, and 3.5 mm.
Routing and Tracks
Any input can be routed to any of 12 recording tracks. This offers iso recording of inputs plus recording a two-channel mix and two aux tracks.
Any record track can be assigned to each of the three recording media. This allows, for instance, a two-mix to be recorded to CompactFlash while isos and a mix can be simultaneously recorded to the internal drive.
File Storage and Transfer
The 788T has three options for recording media, internal drive (SSD or hard drive), CompactFlash card, or external FireWire drive. Any or all of these can be used simultaneously.
The 788T can be connected to Mac OS or Windows computers for high-speed data transfer.
Time Code & Word Clock
With its on-board high-accuracy Ambient time code generator the 788T is at home in complex multi-camera sync-sound productions. Use the 788T as the master clock for the most accurate on-set time code reference. All common time code frame rates and modes are supported. Word clock I/O can be used for sample-accurate multi-device connection.
Controls
The 788T controls are fast and intuitive with easy to access buttons, scroll wheel, pop out gain and an informative front panel display. The 788T also offers a USB keyboard input for control and metadata editing. The available CL-8 and CL-9 controllers offer dedicated faders and controls for the 788T.Mix Assist
Mix Assist “auto-mixes” the post-fade outputs by automatically reducing, or attenuating, the level of microphones that are not active. Mix Assist helps maintain consistent background sound level regardless of the number of open microphones. It reduces comb filtering and phasing when multiple microphones pick up a single sound source. It also increases gain before feedback when the recorder is feeding a sound reinforcement system.
